Agenda

Feb 22, 2023 I Stanford University, CA

Registration begins at 8 am, followed by light breakfast and networking opportunities.

Speaker:

  • Maneesh Goyal, COO, Mayo Clinic Platforms

Moderator

  • Vab Goel, Founding Partner, NTT Venture Capital

Platforms have been a  difficult sell in health care for many reasons - the industry is fragmented, it is complex, and highly regulated. The pricing model is opaque, and the economic incentives are misaligned. Care delivery is episodic, and the industry’s journey to technology adoption has been slow. But all this is changing as will be seen by this conversation with Maneesh Goyal COO of Mayo Clinic Platform, and innovation and collaboration will be key.

Speaker:

  • Tom Lawry, Best-selling Author, Hacking Healthcare

There will be more tech breakthroughs in the next decade than there were in the last century.[i]  Mix this with our pandemic learnings, changing demographics, and the exponential growth of information and you have a new health market that will not play by old rules.

In this rapidly changing environment, the one constant determining success or failure is how data is curated, managed, and used. This session will frame the opportunities and challenges of creating a modern data estate and serve as a springboard for the following sessions.

Speaker:

  • Stephanie Ledesma, Vice President, National Community Health, Kaiser Permanente

Moderator:

  • Anna Dapelo Garcia, Inclusion, Diversity, and Health Equity Leader Stanford Healthcare

The pandemic has illuminated the health inequities we face as a nation. ZIP codes are more indicative of access to resources than genetic codes, highlighting challenges certain populations encounter to access healthcare. Post-pandemic, we are seeing tech innovations using Data Aggregation and AI to address these challenges of better meeting patients’ needs – one person at a time. Population health management provides a toolkit for healthcare leaders to understand common factors to transform care delivery systems and support front-line caregivers.

We will hear from Stephanie Ledesma on how the Path to Equity can be accelerated with Population Health Tools and how Kaiser Permanente supports the well-being of the communities they serve by leading improvements in health equity.

Tea and coffee with light refreshments will be served

Speakers:

  • Ashok Chennuru, Chief Data and Insights Officer, Elevance Health
  • Lisa Davis, SVP & CIO at Blue Shield of California

Moderator:

  • Mike Sutten, Chief Technology Officer, Innovaccer

There is a need to reset the vision for care management to help the healthcare ecosystem respond to increased strain on whole-person health. In this session, the panelists from both sides of the coin - payers and providers - will discuss next-generation actions that they can consider to potentially improve the ROI of care management with the help of data, while also ensuring a better, healthier experience for consumers.

A sampling of startups from across the healthcare industry will have the opportunity to share their innovation

Opportunity to network with our speakers and attendees in a relaxed setting over lunch.
